What’s happening?
Our Scout Group is taking on a 1,000-mile cycle and scoot challenge, inspired by the journey from Land’s End to John o’ Groats.
Every section – Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Adult Volunteers – will play their part, cycling or scooting to help us reach the full distance together.
Some of our older sections will also take on longer rides, including cycling back to HQ, with every mile tracked on our live display board at the Ranche.
Why are we doing this?
We’re raising money to continue improving the Ranche, our much-loved Scout HQ.
This year’s focus is refurbishing the toilets, with new windows planned next as part of our ongoing redevelopment.
With nearly 300 young people using the building every week, these improvements will help create a cleaner, more accessible space for everyone.
When is it?
- Saturday 27 June from 9am
- The Ranche, our Scout HQ
- Activities throughout the day – including hot food, games, a bouncy castle and a family quiz night from 7pm.
- Each section will take part in planned time slots throughout the challenge, with Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers each having their turn to help cover the miles.
How can I help?
- Sponsor a participant using their personal fundraising link – every donation helps move us closer to our fundraising target.
- Come along on the day to support the challenge and enjoy the activities, food and fun.
- Share the challenge with friends, family and your wider networks to help us go even further.
Together, we can reach new heights and make a real difference for our young people. Thank you for your support!
